St Nicholas is a CE primary school in Kent. They wanted to show off what made their school special. After seeing our work for other schools, the leadership team of St Nicholas asked us to produce their promotional video.

the brief

St Nicholas offer a broad range of activities for the pupils beyond the classroom; including windsurfing! The video needed to give a glimpse of all these activities, showing off the friendly, fun and caring nature of the school.

After speaking with the school, we agreed that the video needed to show different perspectives on school life - parents, teachers and the pupils themselves.

Our Process

We conducted an initial 'discovery' call with the school's business manager, to help us understand their audience, and the key messages they wanted to get across in the video. We worked with the school to select activities and lessons which would be most suitable for including in the video.

We filmed at the school over two days; capturing all sorts of activities and lessons. We also recorded interviews with pupils and parents, and filmed a piece-to-camera sequence from the headteacher.

After filming, we edited the footage into an 8-minute promotional video, with some special effects to add some extra fun!


The finished video provides a strong impression of the school, and has helped parents made the decision about applying for their children to join.

The video now sits proudly on the school's homepage.
