Deepnote - demo video

Deepnote is a cutting-edge coding tool for software developers. The team behind the app needed a video to sit on their homepage to demonstrate the tool’s capabilities.

the brief

The video needed to use animation and screen demonstration to quickly show off the product in under 60 seconds, without any soundtrack or narration. The video should be on brand and be understandable to their techy target audience.

Our Process

After going through the details of the brief with Deepnote, we agreed on a storyboard.

We captured screen recordings of the product, making sure to include all the important features. We also re-created some elements of the interface in vector format, enabling super-zoomed-in closeups without losing visual quality.

We also designed and created motion graphics and text, in line with Deepnote’s brand style.

We brought everything together with animation and editing, to give the right pace, smoothing the navigation to give a clear narrative.

We were able to produce a video which showcased the product in a very short space of time.

Deepnote were excited about the final video, and have since used it on their homepage, which has proved a successful addition, enabling them to explain the tool in a very simple and easy to understand way.

“We loved working with Envisuals. We're really happy with the result”
